Burn Survivor Story.

At 7 years old, Hojo survived severe physical abuse and hot water burns covering nearly 85% of his body. Doctors told him he'd never walk again, never play sports, and that his life expectancy would be short. Hojo was counted out before he even had a chance, but he has never quit.  

Through years of surgeries, hospital stays, recovery, and fighting his way back into school and life, Hojo proved every doubt wrong. He walked, played, lived, and kept going.  

Over the years, Hojo has done a bit of everything:  

• Commercial Landscaping  

• Warehouse Factory indoors/outdoors  

• Cooked in restaurants  

• Played & coached basketball, volleyball, and baseball  

• Worked in professional sports entertainment & games operations for multiple seasons in the NBA (Milwaukee Bucks) and MLB (Milwaukee Brewers & Arizona Diamondbacks)  

• Stepped into the Cannabis industry, mentoring, supporting, and learning from all kinds of people  

Hojo has been involved in fundraisers, MACC Fund events, Children’s Hospital hero programs, 5k run/walking events for awareness, missionary trips, and community-focused work. If it brings people together or supports someone who needs a voice, that’s where Hojo wants to be.  

After being laid off from a previous job, he made a decision:  

I’m done only building out other people’s dreams. It’s time to build my own!
